When the quarries closed down in the early 1970’s, 1382 was moved to Scunthorpe Steelworks until she was sold on to preservation. In 2015 1382 returned to Scunthorpe for a full refurbishment.

Christmas 2024 at Quainton. 1382 was allocated for shunting the Santa Express steam locos to the pit for firing and getting coach rakes ready. Seen here happily hauling 4 Mk1’s and a stove on a misty winter’s day.
