This website documents the history and technical details of this Half Janus shunter manufactured at Yorkshire Engine Company, Meadowhall, Sheffield in 1961 and delivered to United Steel Company in 1962.

1382 is fully operational and now permanently resident at The Caledonian Railway, Scotland having arrived on 30th July 2026. Seen below unloaded and on CR metals at Brechin station. After checks 1382 made her first uneventful journey of 4 miles to the engine sheds at Bridge of Dun station to be readied for the 2026 weekend Diesel Gala.
